100th Anniversary of the end of World War One

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War the Parish Council has installed a 6 foot ‘Tommy’ in the Millennium Garden(to the front of the All Saints Church) This is a beautiful sculpture, which we hope the community will treasure as a permanent reminder to remember the Fallen.

A First World War Memorial Bench has also been installed in the Garden. This is one of 37 benches installed throughout the Daventry District.

The Act of Remembrance takes place this coming Sunday with the procession to the Church starting at 9.30am.

The bell ringing and beacon lighting is a short evening event starting at 6.55pm. The All Saints Church are lighting the Beacon to take part in a nationwide event with an estimated 1000 beacons being lit across the Country.
