Street Watch empowers local people to help keep their communities safe by volunteering to patrol their neighbourhoods, reporting issues like anti-social behaviour, vandalism, or suspicious activity to the police. Volunteers work in teams, guided by a local coordinator, and collaborate with neighbourhood policing teams to make a real difference.

How it works: 👮 Patrol your area for as little as 2 hours per month (or more if you want!) 👥 Walk in pairs with fellow volunteers to stay safe 🐕 You can even walk your dog while you patrol! 🦺 Wear a high-visibility “Street Watch” jacket to show your commitment to the community

Chief Inspector Dave Wakeman explains: “Street Watch is about going for a walk with your neighbours, being a visible presence, and helping to deter crime while building community spirit.”
