Community Speed Watch
is a volunteer programme, run between the Police and Northamptonshire County Council. The programme aims to increase the awareness of the dangers of speeding through education. Drivers detected for speeding receive a Police Warning letter and their records are held to identify any repeat offenders.
Speed Watch are recruiting to the local team for 2018. There is currently a vacancy for the ‘Volunteer Coordinator’. As a Coordinator you will act as point of contact for the scheme, arrange the enforcement timetable during your 3 weeks with the equipment and arrange equipment swap overs with your local partner group. You will already have a great set of local volunteers to work with and full training is provided.
