The Foundation of Thomas Roe has been supporting young people in education since 1665. It provides small cash grants for young people, under 25, who live in the parishes of Brixworth or Scaldwell.
Grants have previously been provided to support young people with: purchase of school uniform; books and course materials; musical instruments; computer equipment; and travel expenses linked to education.

Completed application forms must be returned to the Clerk, preferably by email and in Word format, by midnight on Wednesday, 13 March 2024 for consideration at the charity’s next meeting. This meeting is scheduled for 27 March 2024, where grant applications will be considered.

The main objectives of the Charity are to assist in providing items services and facilities for the pupils of Brixworth VC Primary School, which are not generally provided by public funds. The Charity also provides grants for financial assistance in connection with the education of children of school age and young persons whom are resident in the parishes of Scaldwell and Brixworth.
