We are committed to providing all the help we can to our forces, and their families. The role will strengthen the bonds between communities, raise awareness and we can also provide links to those who can provide practical support. We will help signpost people to this information who can then receive support on housing, health and wellbeing, education and training, accessing council services, and assistance for a smoother transition into civilian life and the wider community.

Brixworth Parish Council is signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant in partnership with various other organisations including other local councils, police, members of the voluntary sector and the civilian community of Northamptonshire.

The Covenant is a voluntary statement of mutual support between a civilian community and its local armed forces community. Its purpose is to recognise and remember the sacrifices made by the members of the armed forces living in the local community, particularly those who have given the most. This applies to current and ex-members of the Armed Forces, families and widow(er)s living in Northamptonshire.

Our Armed Forces Champion is Councillor Jackie Bird

Our Local British Legion Representative is Eddie Edmunds.
