Cash Grants available

 

The Thomas Roe Charity has funds available to assist persons aged less than 25 years old  who are also resident within the parishes of either Brixworth and Scaldwell.

Cash grants are available to any qualifying person for use for educational purposes.

Grants have been made to assist in the purchase of school uniform, books and course materials, musical instruments, computer equipment and may also be available towards the cost of travelling expenses linked to an educational venture including school trips.

Any person who wishes to apply for a grant should pick up an application form from the Brixworth Information Point or Library based upon Spratton Road.  Alternatively an application form and further details about the Charity can be obtained from the Clerk to the Trustees, Ursula Morris who can be contacted on 01604 505554 or by email

Trustees meetings are held in March and September where all applications received will be considered.

The next meeting of the Trustees  is on 21st March 2018.

Road Closure – Holcot Road

Northamptonshire Highways will soon be carrying out carriageway works within the village.

Undertaking the works safely will require that the Holcot Road is closed from 21st to 24th February 2018. This is whilst carriageway patching takes place.

Parish Council Surgery

 

This Saturday (3rd February) sees our next Parish Council surgery take place at the Library & Community Centre.

Why not pop along and speak to our Parish Councillors about local issues? Councillor Alex Coles and Councillor Jackie Bird will be hosting the Surgery from 10am until noon.

The next surgery is planned for Saturday 3rd March 2018.
