Working towards a better Brixworth
That’s right Christmas has arrived! After the success of last year’s Christmas tree project and due to public demand, Brixworth Parish Council agreed to expand the project this year to include more businesses.

This Saturday (2nd December) sees our next Parish Council surgery take place at the Library & Community Centre.
Why not pop along and speak to our Parish Councillors about local issues? Councillor Jackie Bird and Councillor James Collyer will be hosting the Surgery from 10am until noon.
Next month’s Parish Council Surgery is planned for Saturday 6th January 2018.
The X7 service will be diverted for up to six weeks. The option of keeping one-way traffic controlled by lights would have increased the road works to up to 12 weeks.
Journeys towards Market Harborough and Leicester:
Services will be diverted into Brixworth via the A508 Harborough Road, Scaldwell Road, Harborough Road, Northampton Road where they will then turn around at Froxhill Crescent roundabout and resume their normal route.
Journeys towards Northampton and Milton Keynes:
Services will run as normal as far as Froxhill Crescent roundabout, where they will then turn and exit Brixworth via Northampton Road, Harborough Road, Scaldwell Road and onto the A508 Harborough Road where they will resume their normal route.
During these works, bus services will be unable to serve stops located on Northampton Road between Brixworth Cricket Club and Froxhill Crescent.
Northampton Roa
d in Brixworth is to be closed from 30th October 2017 until 8th December 2017 to allow for drainage installation and resurfacing of the road.
The closure is from Blackthorn Avenue going south and finishes at the existing south bound bus layby. Access to the allotments and the cricket club will be restricted, but if there is a particular event needing access the Contractor will endeavour to assist if possible. The Doctors Surgery will not be affected at all by the closure.
